Beyond Boundaries center-based locations offer a beautifully constructed, state of the art learning environment, equipped to provide services to a diverse group of individuals. We value each learner’s individuality and understand that each of us has a unique learning style. Programs and behavior management plans are designed to nurture interests and encourage learning using the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).

Beyond Boundaries’ approach begins with a comprehensive assessment to evaluate skills across multiple areas. We incorporate the use of past and present date to identify barriers to learning and adaptive functioning. As learners progress, they overcome the identified barriers and build lifelong skills.

Regular review of progress allows our clinicians to adjust learners’ programs.

Qualified ABA therapists work directly with the learners and graph data to document daily progress across all skill areas.

Licensed Behavior Analysts are on site at all times with our team and review the data regularly to assess progress.

The Clinical Director of MGABA is readily available and oversees all skill and behavior management programming.

As advancements are made, transition planning is evaluated

The goal of Beyond Boundaries programs is to re-integrate our clients back into community and school settings as soon as possible. As learners progress, transition planning is evaluated. The Beyond Boundaries team works in close collaboration with school district personnel to ensure that an effective and sustainable transition plan is in place to support the learner and school based team.

Behavior Programming

While behavior plans target challenging behaviors, individualized reinforcement programs seek to build on adaptive behaviors and develop functionally equivalent skills. This allows the learner to apply these skills across settings, which is a key aspect of reintegration.

Our transition team will work with school staff in showing them how to target these skills when reintegration takes place to allow for generalization.

Skill Acquisition

At Beyond Boundaries we value the individuality of our learners and design programs to address each person’s specific needs. Given the goals and nature of our center-based services, we target those skills needed to be successful in an educational environment.

As the individual becomes more accessible to learning by overcoming behavior barriers, a wider-variety of skills can be targeted to prepare the learner for reintegration.

  • Social skills: reciprocal conversation, spontaneous commenting, speaking in front of a group, team building and participation
  • Daily living skills: preparing food, following recipes, setting the table, eating independently
  • Personal hygiene: hand washing, brushing teeth, independent dressing, tolerating haircuts
  • Routines and schedules: following daily and task-related schedules, time management, organization
  • Vocational planning: looking for a job to suit personal interest and skills, filling out an application, preparing for an interview, interview conversational skills
